EXECUTIVE DIRECTOR


Shannon is the Co-Founder and Executive Director of Fostering Change Washington, where she leads with a deep love for Jesus, a heart for vulnerable children, and a bold commitment to truth and justice. A wife of 25 years and mom of five (three biological, one adopted, and one through guardianship), she brings over two decades of experience in ministry, nonprofit leadership, business, and marketing. Shannon blends strategic insight with Spirit-led conviction to equip families, engage churches, and advocate for those impacted by broken systems. Her leadership is marked by joy, creativity, and courage—driven by a genuine love for people and a passion to invite others into meaningful action. She believes real change begins when ordinary people say yes to the hard and holy work of protecting what matters most.

Jessica Hanna is a devoted mother of nine, including seven adopted children—her greatest joy and calling. Raised in a family deeply involved in foster care, she witnessed early on the impact of trauma on children and the power of stable, loving homes. After fostering for over a decade herself, Jessica has seen the lasting effects across generations and is passionate about helping children heal, thrive, and live joyful, productive lives. As co-founder of Fostering Change Washington, Jessica is committed to advocating for meaningful, systemic improvements in the foster care system. She is also the host of the Fostering Change podcast, Change the Story, where she amplifies the voices of those working tirelessly to protect and restore the lives of vulnerable children.

 Jennica Corry, a founding board member of Fostering Change Washington, is honored to rejoin the organization and support solutions-focused advocacy for children and families across the state. She brings experience in fundraising, membership development, and nonprofit governance, along with lived experience as a foster, adoptive, biological, and guardianship parent.

 Deeply committed to both her community and the well-being of children, Jennica is actively involved with local nonprofits, serves in her church, and homeschools her children.  Together with her husband, Chris, she seeks to live out God’s truth by caring for the vulnerable, promoting common-sense solutions, and upholding the value of the God-honoring family.

Robb Paul is a Yakima-based entrepreneur, husband and father, who brings both personal conviction and practical experience to his role as Executive Secretary of Fostering Change Washington. Raised in Spokane Valley and now raising two sons with his wife Jenn, Robb’s early involvement in pro-life advocacy  has shaped his enduring commitment to protecting vulnerable children and defending life.

His goal with Fostering Change is to raise awareness about the critical need for safe, supportive environments for foster and adoptive children. Robb is passionate about removing the barriers that make it harder for families to welcome children in need. He believes our children are our future—and our most valuable investment.

Brooke Lamberson, a member of the Cowlitz Indian Tribe, has spent over a decade alongside her husband, Nash, serving children in the foster care system. Together, they’ve built a vibrant, loving family of nine children and one grandchild—rooted in connection, care, and cultural values. Brooke holds a Bachelor’s in Education and a Master’s in Curriculum and Instruction with a focus on Trauma and Resilience. She brings this expertise to her work as a dedicated school teacher, advocating for trauma-informed practices that support the whole child. Beyond the classroom and her board role, Brooke enjoys camping, hiking, and making memories with her family. Her passion for advocacy  fuels her commitment to uplifting foster youth and pursuing systemic change.

 Our Advisory Committee is made up of mission-minded leaders who generously offer their wisdom, experience, and encouragement to help advance the vision of Fostering Change Washington. They walk alongside our team as trusted voices of discernment, support, and spiritual alignment. 

MIKE JOHNSON - Trauma & Nonprofit Advisor

For nearly two decades, Mike has devoted his life to bringing repair and redemption to adult survivors of severe childhood abuse and neglect—many of whom now face homelessness and addiction. As an adoptive father of eight, Mike brings both personal and professional insight to his work, grounded in deep knowledge of trauma-informed care. In addition to his expertise in nonprofit ministry, Mike has provided executive leadership to organizations serving vulnerable populations with compassion and excellence. He is also the founder of Climbing Out of Homelessness, a unique recovery program that has taken 43 "recovery climbers" to the summit of Mt. Rainier. His work is featured in the award-winning documentary A New High, which chronicles one powerful year in the program. A truth that guides every step of Mike's journey: “God does not make disposable people."

DAVE ETTL - Communications & Media Advisor

Dave is a trusted news radio host and seasoned communicator, known throughout Central Washington for his thoughtful engagement with civic, cultural, and political issues. With more than 20 years in television journalism and over two decades in talk radio, he brings clarity, credibility, and a deep concern for families and communities.

A U.S. Army veteran and two-term Yakima City Council member, Dave has also contributed his leadership to education, curriculum development, and nonprofit instruction. Through Scholars of American Liberty, he passionately promotes patriotism, civic responsibility, and constitutional literacy among youth. As a member of our Advisory Committee, Dave offers valuable insight, public voice, and a shared commitment to protecting children, strengthening families, and defending truth in the public square.
